Landry Cate made herself known when she was on the court for Fountain Lake’s volleyball team, and in her first year as a middle hitter for the Cowley Tigers, she has helped lead the team to the NJCAA national volleyball championship tournament.
In 36 matches for the Tigers, she has accumulated 119 kills, 65 blocks, 62 digs and 65 service aces. She has the second-highest blocks on the team, and with 60% of her serves landing as aces, she is third on the team and has the highest percentage among middles.
The team has dominated on the court this season, winning all 38 of its matches and dropping just three of the 117 sets it has played. The Tigers have committed just 402 errors in 3,477 attacks this season with a team hitting percentage of .378 while averaging 14.63 kills per set.
